The Beginner’s Polo Clinic May 16-17 was blessed with gorgeous weather, with 20 students participating. The morning was spent explaining the basic rules of the game, with the afternoon devoted to developing skills on horseback. The Club provided delicious lunches of grilled meats and local pizzas. All in all, a great success. Thanks to all who participated, and a special thanks to Seth Gardner and Kim Watson for organizing the event.

Seth Gardner our President, has purchased an off-the-track Thoroughbred filly by the stallion Indian Charlie, to be trained as a polo pony. He is hoping to compete in the Thoroughbred Make-Over competition in Lexington, Kentucky, Oct. 7-10. This is a terrific program that promotes second careers for retired racehorses.
